DESCRIPTION:When: Tuesday\, August 19\, and Wednesday\, August 20\, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM\nWhere: South City Theatre\nShow Dates: February 6 – 14\, 2026\nDirected by Pat Yates\nThe Cottage by Sandy Rustin is a British Farce requiring actors to speak with an upper to middle class British accent with razor sharp pacing & comedic timing. 3 females & 3 males. \nFor those interested\, please prepare a 60-90 second monologue to be performed with a British accent. \nRoles Available \nSYLVIA VAN KIPNESS: Mid 20’s-40’s\, female – A “lovely and rash romantic”. Feminine\, yet strong-willed\, Sylvia’s attempts at true love leave her frustrated and ever hopeful for a shocking turn of events. BRITISH RP ACCENT. This role requires moments of physical intimacy. This role also requires moments of physical violence. \nBEAU: Mid 20’s-Late 40’s\, male – “Perhaps the best looking man in Britain\,” quite the philanderer. Logical to the point of pessimism. Beau is the type of fellow quite happy with the status quo\, no matter what the status quo may be. BRITISH RP ACCENT. This role requires moments of physical intimacy \nMARJORIE: Mid 20’s-40’s\, – EXTREMELY PREGNANT (8 Months)\, pragmatic and a tad spicy. Unflappable in every sense of the word. Always aiming to please\, Clarke’s kind-heartedness may lead others to take him for a fool.\nBRITISH RP ACCENT. This role requires moments of physical intimacy. \nDIERDRE: 20’s-30’s\, – An awfully pretty\, “wisp of a thing\,” sometimes wise\, nincompoop. Gullible is Diedre’s middle name. DESCRIPTION:South City Theatre announces auditions for “Christmas Queens” directed by Donna Stinson Williamson on Saturday\, October 11\, 2025 at 2:00 PM and Sunday\, October 12\, 2025 at 4:00 PM. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Auditionees will also be asked to sing a few bars of a Christmas song. \nThis year\, the Catoosa County Christmas Queen Pageant\, sponsored by a local catfish farmer\, will invite former winners to compete in a special reunion pageant. Louise\, owner of The Limelight Theater\, isn’t thrilled with the idea but needs the sponsorship money. The former Queens range in age from 19 to Belva’s not telling. Unfortunately\, someone is sabotaging the competition. Is it the oldest Queen? The soap opera star? The pregnant competitor\, or any of the women competing for the prize money. \nRoles Available\nLouise Ledbetter: 40-70\, owns Louise’s Limelight Theater\nBuck Jackson: 40-60\, smart\, gentleman catfish farmer\, widow\nJolene “Skye” Newcomb: 18-mid 20’s\, truly a pageant queen\nCeCe Whitlow: 30-40\, very pregnant\nBelva Pike: 60-80\, sweet\, loves to travel\nTammy Jo Fordham: 40-60\, beautiful\, soap opera star\nNorma Fay Jones: 50-60\, tough\, independent woman\nAllison (Allie) Pettigrew: 20’s\, just out of college\nCooper Tatum (male): 20’s\, aspires to make documentaries \nPerformance dates are December 12\, 13\, 19\, 20 at 7:30 PM and December 14 at 2:00 PM.
